Folio — Privacy Policy

Folio is published by error404, a trade name of 9F B.V. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no tracking pixels, and no telemetry. The app does not create a user profile and does not send usage data anywhere.

Folio works locally on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad. The PDFs you open, the notes you add, and the signatures you create stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded to error404 servers.

Text recognition in scanned pages runs on your device. Documents are not sent to a server to be processed.

The app only touches the files and folders you point it at. It does not scan the rest of your device.

We don't share, sell, or transfer data to third parties, because we don't have any of your data to begin with.

If you email support@error404.nl, we use that message only to reply to you. We don't sell contact details and we don't add you to a mailing list.

Children's privacy: the app collects nothing, from anyone, regardless of age.
