Scribe — Privacy Policy

Short version: Scribe doesn't collect, store, or process your personal data.

Scribe is published by error404, a trade name of 9F B.V. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no tracking pixels, and no telemetry. The app does not create a user profile and does not send usage data anywhere.

Recording and transcription happen on your device wherever possible, powered by Apple's own technology. We don't run a transcription cloud, and your conversations are not uploaded to error404 servers.

Your recordings and notes are saved as real .md files on your device. You decide whether to keep, edit, move, share, or delete them. We never receive a copy.

Scribe asks for microphone access because it cannot record without it. That audio is used only to produce your own transcript and notes.

We don't share, sell, or transfer data to third parties, because we don't have any of your data to begin with.

If you email support@error404.nl, we use that message only to reply to you. We don't sell contact details and we don't add you to a mailing list.

Children's privacy: the app collects nothing, from anyone, regardless of age.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date below.
