error404 is a trade name of 9F B.V., registered in the Netherlands (KVK 78275024). error404, Paperlane Editor, Scribe, and Folio are built to stay out of your business. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising IDs, no tracking pixels, and no telemetry.

Paperlane Editor reads and writes the files you open — on your device, or in the optional iCloud Drive library you choose. That data stays with you (and Apple, if you use iCloud). We never receive a copy.

Folio works locally on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad. The PDFs you open and the signatures you create stay on your device — nothing is uploaded to error404 servers.

Scribe records and transcribes on your device wherever possible, powered by Apple's own technology. Notes are saved as local .md files. Your conversations are not uploaded to error404 servers.

This website is static. We don't set cookies for tracking, and we don't run scripts that identify you.
